Program focuses on CUNY Assessment Test in Writing (CATW), grammar and essay writing. English Level 5/6 or higher required. A diagnostic test will be administered to assess student level. Tuition $439.
The English Language Institute offers a multilevel English language program for international students/non-native English language speakers.

The program facilitates student recognition, comprehension and production of level appropriate language in reading, writing, speaking and listening. In addition, course is dedicated to the form, function and phonology of English grammar. Classes meet Monday to Thursday for a total of 18 hours per week and satisfy the F-1 student visa requirement.

The English Language Institute provides a flexible schedule of classes that meets F-1 Student Visa criteria. You will get help with applying for the F-1 Visa and assistance with transferring from another school. If needed, help will also be provided for changing your visa status to F-1 Student Visa. Classes offered provide ways to improve your communication skills and TOEFL Preparation. We have experienced ESL instructors and a friendly and caring university environment.

This evening full-time English course is ideal for second language learners who plan to study at an undergraduate or graduate level. Course will cover fundamentals of grammar and elements of essay writing, as well as communication, pronunciation and vocabulary building skills. Students will do research, assignments and presentations. Course meets for 8 weeks, Monday - Thursday from 6:00 - 9:30 pm. This full-time tuition of $975 is for the 8 week Summer 2015 session, only. Regular tuition for the Winter, Spring and Fall semesters is $1100.
